The Saints Homecoming Week '85 was a short one this year, because of no school on Monday. Float-building began on Saturday, continued on Monday, and concluded on Tuesday night. The theme this year was “Commercials. The Seniors captured first place with Charmin's Team Will Wipe ’em Clean. This first place win broke their 3-year tradition of fourth place finishes. The Junior Class came in second with its float entitled, Saints Dynamo. Aren't You Hungry For a Victory Now? the Sophomore float, received third place. The Freshman creation of Saints and Victory Go Hand-In- Hand, came in fourth. The usual dress-up days during the week were as follows: Teacher look-alike Nerd day, Hawaiian day, Mismatch Inside-out day, and Red and White day. The rain that had lasted all week cleared up by Friday and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The week was completed with a Friday afternoon parade, a pep rally, a 42-8 victory, and a dance.
