Suddenly it started to whirl and fall towards the people. Falling to their knees, the multitude prayed to God and his Blessed Mother. Just when it seemed that the end was at hand, the sun suddenly resumed its accustomed place in the heavens. Such was the miracle which nonbelievers had de- manded ot the Blessed Virgin in order to prove her identity. In previous apparitions to the three children, Our Lady asked for the consecration of Russia to hefrvl - maculate Heart. The condition in which. the 'wor exists today suffices to show the need fchltthis conse- cration to Mary. Since Almighty God has peace of the world in her handsgshe will R x cc 'Ng if F ax A--ix . In this, the Marian year we would indeed be show- ing gratitude by adopting a special devotion to Mary. We must be prepared to make any sacrifice demanded by our Christian duty, and offer them in reparation for sinners and forthe future peace ofthe world. The daily Rosary, particularly the family Rosary, should be for us all a Marian devotion. We should consecrate ourselves today without reserve to her Immaculate Heart, and we should be prepared to live this consecration all our lives. Finally, we should follow the practice which Mary herself sug- fgested, the Five First Saturdays. In this way we will be pl R ing an important part in bringing peace to the wolxdl fQf 'ga' '71, ..,-ff! .-f- 7 ,s .-v K .- ,Z
