Though Mother is still Superior to both Bethany and St. Anne's, her work at Bethany is the giving, loving, and sharing that she has unceasingly given to us here at St. An.ue's. Mrs. Elizabeth Kershaw Administrative Assistant As Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Kershaw has helped in guiding and advising us through our stay at St. Anne's. Thank you for all you've done. Mr. Lawrence Kellett Director of Admissions Somber contemplations soon brighten with the remem- brance of people as a source of inspiration and encour- agement. Mr. Kellett is one of these people. Upon entering a school, a Dir. of Admissions is expected to be a middle age man surrounded by an uncomfortable atmosphere. Mr. Kellett is a person of harmonious in- formality. He provides a person with the help in gain- ing confidence in communicating with the people at St. An.ne's. To this we say thank you. Well students, faculty, and anyone interested, here is your 1972 SCROLL! It's been hard work, but alot of fun. We only wish we had had a tape-recorder, to record our working sessions, and leave it to the new staff of the Scroll. Reasons for this? Because in spite of all the laughing, yelling, fighting, and states of depressions, we feel it would keep the new staff's state of mind intact. So read on people, and contemplate on the memories each picture and candid that grabs your mind for no more than 10 seconds, long enough to run for a kleenex! Good Luck for your future years! This year the Student Council has had good results with the activities they have put on. In the early Fall, they or- ganized a Moritorium Day, with the participation of the whole school. The Moritorium had quite an effect emotional wise and learning wise. The Student Council has finally finished the Student Center, and dedicated it to the student body with a big party to celebrate the opening. The Student-Faculty Auction was held again and a Stu- dent Government Day took place in February. Working hard with the faculty and student body, the Council hopes that the accomplishments made have brought the school together with optimism for the future. The Thespian Society is an honor section of the Drama Club. The girls in St. Anne's Thespian Society, have worked hard to earn their points of recognition. Such points are earned through hard work in the production of plays, stage work, managing, and doing well, the extra work that counts greatly on the success of a stage performance. We all thank you for being you! ! l 83 May Queen H42 cindy Childs 84 May Court Through the years, May Day has been a carried out tradition at St. Anne's. The girl chosen to be Queen of this event, represents the Mother Mary, on her feast. The qualities looked for the most in the choos- ing of this girl follow those of a person with the motherly type instincts. The beauty of the sincere beholder comes from within. This year our Queen, Cindy Childs, possesses both the physical beauty and the inner sincerity found in so few people these days. The May Day event is held in the garden on Mother's Day, the feast of Our Lady. Throughout the day, Cindy, the Queen of the day, is accompanied by her Attendants and Jr. Attendants. The day's happenings are viewed by family, friends, Faculty, Administra- tion and students. Entertainment for the Queen and her court is carried on by the students participation, on request of the Queen. But, perhaps the beautiful part of the day is Cindy's crowning, and then her crowning of the Holy Mother with flowers as a part of Cindy's own self. For this is one of the reasons in our eyes that we chose Cindy Childs as our Queen of the Day. She so often gives of herself unselfishly to us.
