EDWIN GARRITY, o.F.11. 1 o 9 0 ous T R A C K The track team of 1955 has been a tribute and a torch of hope to Saint Anne's School as its excellent display of talent and good sportsmanship unfold itself. The first meet, held in Englewood, brought us the most recognition as thirty-five points were scored, one trophy, sixteen first place plaques and eight medals were awarded. The Bergen County C Y 0 Championship was now ours The State Championship was our next goal Second place was awarded to us in the Passaic County Invitational Track meet as we were accredited with nineteen points to our competitors twenty two It was at th1s t1me when another trophy and thirteen medals were awarded to our very capable trackmen Twenty teams were represented for the State Champion ship and out of all these we were awarded sixth place W felt outclassed but with the able coaching of Mr Bennett our confidence reached 1tS height However and sorry to say the champion S crown will have to wait until next year when our very able seventh grade trackmen will be at their peak QZEDGXQ 5 l 'x5 I5 . . .
