Years from today we will look back on our college years as one of the most formative periods of our lives. We will look through these pages, releasing emotions and coming to the realization that our years at St. Andrews were but a brief span; a span in which we grew to a better understanding of ourselves and something called Life. 19 We should take time to re- member our years at St. An- drews because such remember- ances are an important part of ourselves. 20 This section is dedicated to the class of 1979 and to St. Andrews Presbyterian College. 21 Hollerith Holly Barnum Greenwich, Conneticut History Steve Allgood Laurinburg, North Carolina Philosophy William Brennan Charlotte, North Carolina Biology 22 Freddy Clark Vista Hermosa, Quatemala Chemistry James Conyers Ridewood, New Jersey Literature Charmian Clifford Pasadena, Maryland Anthropology-Sociology 23 Kwame Dwamena-Danquah Accra, Ghana Accounting-Business John Courtney Nashville, Tennessee Theater Catherine Davidson Bluefield, West Virginia Biology 24 Laura Ellis Atlanta, Georgia Art Larry Graham Maxton, N.C. It is the hope of the yearbook staff that you have found in this account of the 1979 school year, memories which will remain with you throughout the years. 164 -« i -? v ■ ' 1 i 71 __ - - 2 165 This, the last LAMP AND SHIELD of this decade, is presented to you, the students of St. Andrews Presbyterian College, as a testimonial to the year past. It is a testimonial to the lives of each of you and to times shared collectively and individually. It is not easy accumulating photographs of people, of events, of sorrows, and joys. It is even more difficult to amass these pictures into a meaningful representative book. Such a representation must always be an incomplete mirror, a partial reflection of times gone by. Through the efforts of many people we, the LAMP AND SHIELD staff are able to give to St. Andrews this publication.
