The camera man looks for pictures that say I am St. Andrews! The editors throw together the I ' S into The Lamp and Shield And if you say, Here I am! Then the job is done.

St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Vol. 6, 1967 Everyone is probably expecting us to put forth a big fancy theme-one that would concern itself with some big concept or a worn-out ideal. Well, we ' re not! Because if we did this we would be fitting everyone into a mold and that would be an in- sult. Oh, we could talk about mutuality, sincerity, responsibility and all of those other dollar-two- eighty words. But these words only represent the way we talk about life, not the way we really live it. So, in- stead of havinga theme builtaround some high falootin abstract terms, we have attempted to present real people-you and me- in real situa- tions. If we must claim a theme, we ' ll call it I. Through the pictures and words that we have selected to remember 1966-67 at St. Andrews, we hope that you will find the I that is you.
