C. this year from the Sanford High School where he had compiled an excellent record. We do not believe P. J. C. could have selected a better man for head coach in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He has won the respect of every P. Cu student through his Christian leadership and the fine example he has set for us on the campus. He did not have very much success with the teams in Football and Basketball but we think he did a very good job with the material available. We know that he is going to have a much better team next year. We wish him much luck and a win- ning team. Coach Henry Massey is also new on the coaching staff. He has rendered valuable service in aiding Coach Brown. He has worked very hard with the various teams as assistant coach and we feel that he will be of much value to Coach Brown next year. We extend him our best wishes. Coach Little has been on the coaching staff for the past three years. He has taken an active interest in promoting a splendid intramural program here at P. Ll. C. He is also head Coach of Tennis and Track. These sports were not included in the program last year but it is Coach Little's hope to have this sport back on the program this year. The BdtQI7if7t'u wishes him success in this endeavor. 1939 We gagpipe FOOTBALL A-'-' r. r.',Hrx+e'. A f 1 - , 1' .x .. , ,.w, E 5 XV X V , 11 09 'f 1 , 1- r 3 D 'L , .sdiff 1 ' .. Included in the intramural program this year is tag football, basketball, and tennis. Teamx from the freshman elass, sophomore class, and the commercial class formed a league for tag football. Seven teams participated in the intramural bavketball tourna- ment. At present there is a tennis tournament being conducted with about thirty-five boys participating in it. We feel that most of the boys have enjoyed the intramural program this year and we hope that more will participate in the program next year and that it will be enlarged. 1939 Tue gagpipe SNAPSHOTS ,fn- s iiAa MILLER SCORES NIILLLR KIQKS PIAYINCJ Tl-ONNIS BASFBALI SPFCTATORS TONY CATCH!-S A PASS FOOTBALL PRACTICE SLRINIMAQL 19 39 THE FEATURES .,. ,1 f-x f qf Sgiklifg kx 'Q 5' 315 xy!! fgr 'f tif?
