SSS X S f weeks later we sponsored a return party. ' S gg December 7, when we were admitted to the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sf was the greatest occasion of the year. S SE On September 25, 1946 we proudly enrolled for another year at Saint Alphonsus. ,S S We soon elected officers:Margaret Minike, Tom Voz and Charlotte Wilhelmi.We initiated 'Sf R the Freshmen and were honored by a return party a few weeks later. S X '5- et On September 5, 1946 twenty-three Juniors registered for another ear at, Saint - 1' , , Y , Q. Q Alphonsus. Charlotte Wilhelmi, Joy Wilkes and Charlotte Koehmstedt became President,. ,SSP 2 Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively. s, N a T N In order to raise funds for the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet we sponsored a S SE Q dance at which we raffled a turkey and sold lunches. The Prom and Banquet were held April 175 both were a success and a joy to remember. . . as S S S . SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY S 2 : Q i X, S WS -. When we started school in 1945, the Sophomore class initiated twenty-two of us SS. Q into our Freshmen year.For our class officers as Freshmen we elected Richard Lebrun, 'QA' X President, Denis Chaput, Vice-President, and Stanley Urlaub, Secretary-Treasurer. S s Stanley Urlaub was elected President of our Science Club with Denis Chaput and E R Joan Dettler, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively. S Eighteen pupils registered in the Sophomore class on September 9, 1946.0nly one X K fs new pupil came into our class, Bette Schneider from Pluxrmmer, Minnesota, where she Q S attended school last year. c Q QS' K S Stanle Urlaub became our Sophomore class president with Rita Hasey as vice- S 7 S s 5 X' m president: Joan Dettler took over the financial and secretarial duties. Ss Our present Freshman Class consisting of thirteen girls and thirteen boys was Q S X warmly welcomed into the Saint Alphonsus flock by the present Sophomores, Juniors, Sf Q and Seniors. The Sophomores ' entertained the high school group at our initiation S XSX party in October during which the Freshmen manifested good sportsmanship. gi N . S N During our Freshman year, our class has accomplished much both in school S... S H' activities and in studies. We sponsored a party for the Sophomores and the other two S X classes. We also remember,with a relieved fee1ing,the play assemblyxfor Washington's N birthday. I QS 5 We are happily climbing the ladder of education to the Sophomore rung in 1948.
