Cell fendfy 6LgQCLIfli The jubilee bells rang out! One hundred years had passed for the Sisters of Saint joseph in the Brook- lyn Diocese. Saint Agnes Seminary sent a group of girls to participate in the Pageant commemorating this event. A scene in the early days, when the community had its first boarding school in Williaimsburg, was presented by joan, Anne, Margaret, Anna, and Betty Lou. Virginia and Barbara, as Mother Mary Louis and Sister Angelica, took a group of Flushing students, portrayed by Ann, Josephine and Jeanette, on a picnic to Brentwood, which was later to be the site of the Academy of Saint Joseph. As Mother Mary Louis, the Golden Jubilarian, Marie recalled her happy and fruitful years in the community. A number of Semites, including Marie Lo Ponte, played in the fine orchestra organized especially for the Pageant. The performances were over, the Pageant was a success! How happy are the girls who will always remember their small part in the tribute to the good Sisters, who have played a leading role in their edu- cation and training. Shades of the future, girls,??
