Misunder- standings, conflict, faintheartedness and even treachery threatened his work, but in his frail health supported by an indomitable will, he overcame opposition and almost in- superable obstacles He died at the early age of 51 a martyr to his desire to bring all the world to Jesus through Mary For Blessed Champagnat the Blessed Vir gin was everything Mother Model and Patroness For his Brothers she was to be the first Superioress To love Mary t serve her to make her loved and served by children as a means of loving and serving Christ such was his ideal and sole ambition All for Jesus through Mary' All to Mary for Jesus' was the motto he left to his Little Brothers of Mary lt is not surprising that she whom he called his Ordinary Re source favoured him with special protection and ultimate success O tender Mother Mary deign to keep us to fructlfy our work and to sanctify us BLESSED CHAMPAGNAT in-!'r X? I can never see a child with out wishing to tell him how much God loves him To educate a child to instruct him in the truths of our Faith is a more sublime occupation than rulmg the entire world BLESS-ED CHAMPAGNAT
