Get your Orbit. What's an Orbit? Orbit is the name of the new school newspaper. What has been before, only a passing thought, is now an actual occurence. Four times a year students receive Orbit. In it are varied articles, some of which are light and humorous, others factual and to the point. The staff, under their super- visor Sister M. Richard, collect bits and pieces here and there to put into the paper. So watch out! Maybe in one issue you will be on the cover of Orbit. Readers' Theater Act well your part, there all honor lies. This is the motto the newly formed group, the Thespians, follow. Under the guidance of Sister Mary Richard, the Thes- pians hope to accomplish something in the varied fields of Dramatics, among them Readers' Theater, Talent Show, and a Coffeehouse Produc- tion.

Debate In a debate, the object is to argue with more evidence and recognize the political feel- ings of the judge better than the other team. The best two man team has documents and statements from every uni- dentified White House source ofthe last 20 years and enough fire in their arguments to sear the hair on Hubert Humph- rey's head. Also, the team ap- peals to the judge according to his long hair, bearded hippy, communistic beliefs, insuring his support of the team's plan to solve a major U.S. problem. Speech ln speech, fun is as impor- tant as the practice in speaking. At a typical speech meet, the judging is not on what is said, but how the material comes across to the listeners. Win- ners in a contest are the ones who have all listeners rolling on the floor from laughing at a humorous article. A dramat- ic winner has everyone crying worse than a Love Story audience. And only speakers who can inspire deep philo- sophical discussions on a blank wall can be considered for an award. The Debate Team: Laurie Wallraff, Dick Steiner, Mary Gleason, Nicky Vavra, and moderator Steve Egyhazi. Speech Members: Laurie Wallraff, Buffy Ramackel, Sister Mary Richard, Lynn Gengl, Nicky Vavra, Pat Novak, Dick Steiner, Mary Gleason, Liz Seiger, Michelle Klein. 84
