General Com- munion for Sodalists. Win first basketball victory over Washington, 54-34. Chemistry students attend 4'Atoms for Peacen lecture. Our principal's nameday, St. Catherine. Sis- ter Kathryn is presented with gratitude gift by both publications, staffs, The Life of Christi, by Bishop Sheen. Cue and Curtain presents The Death of the Hired Manf' Thanksgiving recess. DECEMBER 1958 Retreat for Juniors, Sophs, and Freshies by Father Richard Madden. Seniors have two- day vacation. Senior girls write the Miss Betty Crocker contest. First Friday. Basketball game lost to St. John's, 43-40. First Saturday. WCCO presents K. Walsh reading her T.B. essay. Eight debaters get first place. Immaculate Conception. Free day. University Program. Victor Onstad and his chalk talk. Aggies lose to St. Thomas Ca- dets, 48-41. Miss Ried addressed the student body. We won first hockey game with Minnehaha Academy, 4-2. General Mass and Communion. Basketball game won over St. Michael, 48-27. B squad also victorious. Student Council gets Christmas tree. Pictures taken by studio for Palm. Election of Sno-Ball candidates. Open House at school for St. Agnes parish- ioners to view the four new rooms. Juniors have a cookie sale to swell J.S. prom treasury. Sodalists conclude Advent practices with procession to the Crib. Christmas Program includes Band Concert and 5'The Christmas Apple starring james Imre as the clockmaker. Christ's birthday! Merry Christmas! Skating party at Minnehaha playground. Dancing in AVSO room. Ping Pong Tournament in AV room. Paul Ernster wins all-school championship. Bowling Tournament. Junior boys triumph! High singles, Bob Pohl and Carolyn Wiome. JANUARY 1959 First Friday. All-City Mass at Cathedral. Skating party followed by dance in A.V. room. Billy Turch finds S25 Sno Button! Sno Ball in gym. Princess Mary Benysek and Prince Don Misukanis ruling royalty. FACULTY victorious over varsity. Puck- sters beat Cretin, 2-1. Ping Pong tournament won by Paul Ernster. Unlooked for free day! Plasterers, day! New year begins at school. Hi-Fi drawing. Pat Ryan winner of portable radio. Sister M. Leonilla again directs nine Catho- lic High Schools in an all-day debate tourn- ament. Basketball team loses to Rosemount, 66-42. Hockey again wins over Central, 5-2. Wizard of Oz opera seen by 85 students. Basketball team trounces Winsted, 66-35. Hockey team takes double header at Duluth, 3-1 . . . 3-O. Semester Exam week begins! Feast of St. Agnes. Tradition carried on by paying special tribute to St. Agnes in song and offering of flowers. Red Cross Pizza supper and dance. Free day in honor of St. Agnes.

Seniors act as Guardian Angels to Frosh and initiate school schedule. First Friday - Mass of the Holy Spirit - all in uniform - short classes. First victory, Aggies 13, Loyola 0. Nativity of Mary - Jean Bettendorf wins Marian Feature - full day classes. New lab in use. Seniors elect Tom Fashingbauer class prexy. St. Agnes Scholarship awards: Peter Olson, Paul Olson, Shirley Kroll, Eileen Och, James Klecker. Holy Name of Mary - Aggies second vic- tory over Rosemount, 14-7. Sodality cele- brate Mary's day by reciting' rosary in Church Chapel. Homecoming Queens election. John O'Malley was the first senior to spark off picture taking at Trudells. First Home and School Association meeting, Mr. Thomas Conroy presiding. Holy Mass for Father Warnemunde. First loss against Concordia 0-13. Lid popper dance sponsored by Student Council is a big success. Freshies, Sophs, and Juniors have pictures taken by Mr. Myron Haugen of Columbia Studios. Jim Slavik and Dan Zechmiester awarded four-year scholarships from the Fourth De- gree Knights of Columbus. Tim Muellner is Junior class president.
