Most Rev. Archbishop Wm. O. Brady, D.D. HEART SPEAKS TO HEART The second St. Paul native named to hold episcopal oflice in our archdiocese, His Excellency Bishop Leonard P. Cowley continues as pastor of St. Olaf,s Church, thus giving Minneapolis its first resident Roman Catholic Bishop. His long association as Chap- lain of the Newman Club at the University aided him in selecting his motto, Heart Speaks to Heart. 6 JUSTICE v- PEACE - JOY Since his appointment in 1956 as Archbishop of St. Paul, His Excel- lency the Most Rev. Wm. O. Brady has championed a forward movement in Catholic Secondary Education. Ever alert to the growing needs of his people, he leaves nothing undone to meet the challenge of tomorrow,s world. w-5 ea, adam St. Agnes welcomed Father Roden from St. Stephenis, Minne- apolis. This' zealous priest is known for his hasteg whenever you see him, he is scurrying to his next duty. It can be a weekly sodality meeting which he ably directs, instructing a Junior or Senior religion class or editing the parish bulletin. His quick smile is known by all the Aggies who feel they are recipients of Father's ambition - always ready and willing to help in any way possible. w. ' fqcw After completing his studies in Louvain, Father Ryan, newly ordained, comes to us at St. Agnes to begin his parish work. Although small in stature, Father is big in spirit and his friendly helpfulness soon became evident. As athletic di- rector, boys' Contact moderator, teacher of Fresh- man and Sophomore religion class, Father comes in daily contact with Aggie life. Father Ryan and Roden - set for the most im- portant of the 3 Ris - Religion. 8
