fibrary Girls and boys find bcoks for all purposes on the shelves of the beok stlcks that line the walls of the new Saint Agnes library. One sees not only the finest editions cf the Mast-ers but modern school books, up-to-date fiction and the late magazines. The collection, which when Complete will meet the requirements of a first class high school libraiy, is classified and cata- logued according to the Dewey Decimal System. A debt of gratitude is due Miss Harriet Horine, Superintendent of Springfield Public Library, and to Mrs. Ivan R. Branson, who graciously gave hours of their time to this seemingly end- less task.

We wish to take this opportunity to thank Dr. J. D. Elliff, former High School Visitor for the University of Missouri. for his niany kindnesses and helpful suggestions. Dr. Elliff has never hesitated to perform any service he could do for us. li BASKETBALL TEAM ENTERTAINED On March 16th a dinner was given at his home by Coach Ralph J. The class colors of blue and gold were carried out in the decorations and in the refreshments. The placecards. candy suckers dressed as graduates in caps and gowns, added to the attractiveness of the table. Various games and dancing were the entertainment for the evening. FRESHMAN SKATING PARTY The senior class were the guests of the freshmen at a skating party held at Doling Park, the evening of May Srd. The little frosh exhibited the same cooperative spirit in this affair that they have shown in all the school activities of the year. From the time the cars drove off at seven o'clock filled with fun-seeking girls and boys, until they returned at midnight, not a dull moment was known by any one.

In an old, high-ceilinged room. where light streams through modern Venetian blinds and reflects back again to a carved cherry iireplace. Saint Agnes pupils as- semble for study, Carved gold doorknobs, two fireplaces, one of cherry and one of oak, and wainscoating of Japanese rock tile seem pleasantly incongruous alongside school desks, pencil sharpeners. and ink wells.
