As a first year coach at St. Agnes I was surprised by the outcome of my first season. The boys went through the regular season undefeated and received an opportunity to participate in the state play-offs. The team showed good deter- mination and represented the Academy in good form. The St. Agnes Girls' Track Team sent competitors Anne Kosnicki, (440 Relay), Jodene Brennan (440 Yd. Dash, High Jump), Carolyn Kloch (440 Relay, Hurdles), Julie Powell (440 Relay), and Shelly Hollinrake (Alter- nate) to the state meet in North Platte. Carolyn finished 2nd in the Hurdles, setting a new record of 11.2 . Jodene, who also broke the High Jump record with a jump of 5'2 this year, placed 5th in the High Jump with a jump of 5 feet even.
