Jr. High Standouts These girls did very well in the DAR Essay Contest. Nancy Powell (Left) ranked 1st in the county and 3rd in the state in the 8th grade division. Sandi Kunzman ranked 1st in the county and 2nd in the state in the 7th grade. Winners in the Soil and Water Conservation Poster Con- test are Sandi Kunzman, purple ribbon and Mike Para- scand and Patty Podhaisky, blue ribbons. Winners of the 8th grade Citizenship Awards are Mary Ann Essay and James Annable. Nancy Powell and Patty Podhaisky placed 1st and 2nd in the County Spelling Contest respectively. Nancy went on to win 2nd in the District and 6th at the State Contest. MSCR.
