o u N R E W CREST This crest was adopted in 1959 as the official emblem of Saint Agnes Academy. The four bars at the top of the crest signify the four years we spend in high school. The name of our school. Saint Agnes, is engraved in gold on a black background. The head of the lamb symbolizes Saint Agnes, martyr and patroness of our school. The shield and sword are symbolic of the Crusader. The cross stands for Religion, the essential subject taught in our school. The crossed arms of Our Lord and Saint Francis are the Coat of Arms of the Franciscan Sisters who are our teachers. The Alpha and Omega on the open Bible signify that, to the students of Saint Agnes, their relation- ship with God is the beginning and end of all things. To us who are graduating from Saint Agnes, this crest will be a reminder of the greatest principle we have acquired during our high school years. It will always re- mind us that our work as Crusaders does not end with our graduation, but must con- tinue throughout our lives.

TO THE HIGH SCHOOL HALL Your long earned silence that started last May Was sadly disrupted that fateful day Registration began. You echoed our noise As we shouted our greetings to girls and to boys. The Freshmen were first to enter the scene; Their looks so inspiring, their 'know-how' so green. The Sophomores came then, some noisy, some shy; You'd learn all their secrets as school days went by. Upperclassmen, their status, the Juniors were there To sign up for classes with business like care. We Seniors came then, we had made it at last! After three years of high school, our knowledge was vast. You look sad when deserted, so dismal and gray; But if you could talk, OH! THE THINGS YOU MIGHT SAY I Would you tell all our gossip; of secrets and fears. And all the small 'big things' that make up our years? How we'd pass our Madonna, the Queen of the Hall, With a nod of the head, or no greeting at all Till test time arrived? And then - how we’d pray That she would enlighten our poor minds that day. Would you tell of our rallies, how loudly we'd shout When we met just five minutes before school was out? How happily we would anticipate fame. Then be so dejected, if we didn't win the game? How we’d have our 'gripe sessions’ in cloak room or hall And all of our 'griping' didn't change things at all? (You knew we were happy when we grumbled each day For NORMAL teen-agers keep happy that way. J How wisely you've kept all the secrets of years; Our laughs and our sighs and our joys and our tears. This time we're reluctant to leave you in May, But we won't be gone - our memories will stay! Sponsor: ALLIANCE STUDIO
