The Published by the Senior Class 1956 St. Agnes Academy Alliance, Nebraska GRATITUDE IS THE MEMORY OF THE HEART 7 tic udt mc4 t c m 4t «Ml.... otto flanertU DEDICATION The time: Spring The place: St. Agnes Academy The occasion: Graduation. And you are there. Do you remember the day we entered high school . . . and, at the same time, adolescence? You watched our Freshmen initiation with some doubts, laughed at the jokes we told, scowled at some of our report cards, but were quick to give praise for others. You were there when we boasted proudly of our first job -- at fifty cents an hour. You shared the agonies of our first date and the pangs of first love . Remember rejoicing at our victories? And being sad with us over our defeats? You must have watched with amazement the tons of hamburgers and pickles, candy bars, cokes, and popcorn we consumed in our four high school years. You were always patient when we were sick, irri- tated when we stayed on the phone for an hour and a half, and worried if we stayed out too late. And as we grew, you taught us to love God and to trust Him. Now as we look beyond graduation, no doubt you will look back to the times when you were always with us. And because you were always there, it is to YOU, our parents, that we gratefully dedicate the 1956 CRUSADER. The Seniors . i. Interior view of Holy Rosary Church, Alliance, recently redecorated The Church was reopened for public worship at a Solemn High Mass, celebrated on Thanksgiving Day, 1955. MOTHER M. VIRGINIA, O.S.F. Pilot at the helm since our grade school days. Memories of St. Agnes focus strongly upon her as Principal, teacher, counselor, and friend. FATHER FREDERICK SNYDER Assistant at Holy Rosary Parish, and religion instructor at school. Father guided our efforts in work and in play, teaching life values in both. MONSIGNOR F. J. KELLER Pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Alliance, Nebraska. His is the kindly figure that adds dignity to Mass, Holy Hour, instruc- tions, and to our social affairs.. .a mem- ory that inspires gratitude.
