OUR PRINCIPAL Mother M. Virginia, O.S.F. Yours is the big job of planning, supervising, managing. This job you have combined smoothly with the still more important work of leaving upon us the mark of Franciscan Catholic educa- tion and culture. It goes without saying that we have felt the impact. We thank you, Mother Virginia, for all the advice, help, and the occasional prodding you have given us during our wonderful years at St. Agnes. We thank you, too, for being, like the Troubadour of Assissi, a model to admire and imi- tate . You have made our journey, thus far, along the King's Highway, a happy one. Because St. Agnes owes so much to you, we pray that our school may con- tinue to prosper under your guidance. Directing Us Along The Royal Highway OUR FRANCISCAN GUIDES O St. Francis, you are with us On the Highway to our God; For your brown robed daughters lead us On the royal road you trod. Triple knots in cord Franciscan Represent your way of life. All our Sisters walk your foot- steps Free from earthly pelf and strife. They are helping us make ready For the Courts of Heaven above. Look then, kindly down upon US', As we seek Eternal love. Guide us safely, lest we roam, To our Dream House, Heaven's Home. - Mary Helen Kennedy
