Our thanks to you Sister for everything. Page 6 DELPHA WETZLER— Del is treas- urer of the senior class. She has always been an ardent sports fan and is planning a medical career. MADELINE ROCK — Madeline, vice president of our senior class and our 1951 Homecoming Queen at- tendant, has been at St. Agnes since her kindergarten days. JOSEPH KOEHNKE— Joe, secretary of our senior class, is known for his friendly, dry wit. He has a well- planned career—West Point and the Air Force. Paqc 7 MARY ELLEN SHERLOCK—small but mighty—that's Mary Ellen. Her abil- ity at the typewriter should carry her far in her chosen career, steno- graphy. EUGENE HHRDEN— Gene'' — voted captain of this football team and an all around guy. His true sportsman- ship on the field and off gained for him recognition by the Star Herald. JAMES ROCKEY— Jim''—all sports but especially football hold Jim's interest. He is a 4 year letterman in football and a two year letter- man in basketball. CECELIA THIELE— Cede has been with us since we were juniors and her cheerfulness and dependability have made her a welcome addition. DONALD LEFAVE— Don is known to all of us as a fun-loving and industrious guy. He left us to go to Creighton University at the close of our junior year. AGNES DILLON — Aggie is an honor student with a determination to succeed and an enthusiastic cheerleader. She was SAA’s rep- resentative to Girls' State in 1951. BEVERLY PUTMAN— Bev,” who is cheerful, fun-loving, and always de- pendable, has attended St. Agnes twelve years. She plans to continue her education at Texas A M College. MARJORIE TSCHACHER— Micki is a lively cheerleader and Homecom- ing Queen attendant. She will long be remembered for her song with a smile. Page 8 LOIS LEONARD—Lois came to us from Anselmo when we were sopho- mores and since has been active in speech and in pep club. She plans to be an X-ray technician. SHARON HENDERSON — “Sharry Cheerful, cooperative, and efficient with a smile for everyone. She has her eyes open for the college of her choice which seems to be Colorado A S M College. MARJORIE MASEK— Margie from Gering, will be remembered for her sunny disposition and 1952 Queen of Hearts. She will receive her piano diploma this year. PAUL DIETLEIN — “Paul — a future rancher, is the helpful, silent type, but under his quiet exterior we find a sincere and congenial pal. ROSALIE VINTON—“Rody wins all her friends and influences people by her quiet, easy-going manner. She plans a college career with a major in stenography. PATRICK PHILLIPS — ’“Pat — the happy-go-lucky member of the sen- ior class is the proud possessor of a car which made history at SAA. He plans a career in technology. JO-ANN GILDERSLEEVE — Jo — a quiet and friendly lass from South Dakota. Her hidden talent was dis- covered when she sang her solo in the “Chorus in the Skies. DONNA TURNER — “Donnie — a friendly lass from Milburn and a spritely cheerleader. She was our first Homecoming Queen here at St. Agnes. Donnie plans a nursing career. Page 9 (9ur (Scrap Won't be long till our high school days are over. Just for old times' sake, let s look through our scrap- book. So much has happened in the past four years. Here we are as freshies. Remember our initia- tion? Oh, here's that picture of Jim and Bev, all decked out —dresses backwards, pant legs rolled up, and all; Jim doesn't seem too fond of that doll, does he? There are the scenes taken from our two operet- tas, Bridget O'Harrigan and Margie Goes Modern. Remember how proud we were ot Delpha and Margie, stars in these operettas. There's Helen Ridder in her formal at the Hammond organ Just tv'i v—she is probably accompanying the Heavenly Choir on a more beautiful organ now. And here s a picture of the first dance we sponsored. It's easy to spot the freshmen. Our class officers—-Gerry Newberry. Donal- deen Vinton, Delpha Wetzler, and Margie Masek— headed the committees. Everybody said it was a huge success. Too bad we don't have a picture of our reception into the Sodality. On that happy day twenty-seven of us became Children of Mary. These must be the sophomore pictures. There's Marcelline Thompson and George Reubenthaller, our king and queen of hearts, and Verna, our door prize winner. Remember all the troubles Delpha had with the crown? Isn't that a picture of Reverend Mother Ignaoe? Yes, she is our Sister's Superior General from Europe. We entertained her and her companions with the cantata, America The Beautiful. Here is a rather stiff picture of our class officers—Don LeFave, John Walters, Joe Koehnke, and Sharon Henderson. Upperclassmen now! Whew! Remember the foot- ball dance and Betty McGinley, our queen? This is a good picture of her with Prince Paul Dietlein and Princess Rosalie Vinton. Look, our cantata pictures— Evangeline. The girls look so pretty in their formals. Ah, here! our class rings! December 15! That was a red letter day in our young lives. Every class says its rings are best; but, of course, we know ours are! Too bad Delpha was absent when Mr. Worley took this picture of our Junior Class officers. Madeline, Don LeFave, and Joe Koehnke look like they just heard a good joke. Here's that snap of Father Sebas- tian. Remember what a wonderful retreat master he was. Aren't these pictures of our class play, Judy Esquire, good? Look at John's and Sharon's regalia! Do you recall how the audience roared when Jim's moustache fell off? Remember delicate, little Georgie Chiggerson. That was Don LeFave who left us to attend Creighton University. Here's a picture taken as Jim was presenting a dozen roses to Sister Electa, our director. Will you ever forget our County Govern- ment Rally! Donna really looks like she is putting her point across. Remember how much fun we had campaigning! Our prom, Swing With The Stars, seems to occupy this page. It was really a wonderful night—the Wanderers from Chadron, the beautiful decorations, the formals, and that delicious chicken. Seniors—at last!! Sister Doloretta who saw us graduate from the eighth grade is with us again when we take our final step Now here's a snap of our Hello Hop —isn't that John Walters at the mike? He, Margie, Sharon, and Paul introduced each freshie. There's one of our initiation picnic at the park—weren't the freshies good sports? There will never be another Argo ! These pictures of the Home- coming are really good. Donna made a fine queen. There's that picture of the Alumni Dance with some of the old folks gathered 'round the new jute box. Perhaps, this is a good time to thank those who helped v pay for it. We surely appreciate it. Here's a snap of our retreat master, Father Pelster from Bayard. Remember his wonderful meditation, Christ, The Per- fect Friend. Gee, remember all the fun the basket- ball games were, especially Harrison, Scottsbluff. and McGrew. Here's a picture of our coaches, Bill Bix and Paul Kunzman. Remember the Queen of Hearts Dance. Here are several of the pictures taken at it; I like the one of Margie breaking through the cello- phane heart and the one of her and Johnny gliding across the floor to the rhythm of There's A Lonely Little Robin. Look here are the pictures we had taken in February with our caps and gowns. Bev looks so happy I'm afraid she might start to fly! Our scrapbook would not be complete without this picture of Pat's Model A. Remember all the gas he burned up taking the male population home at noon? How did they all squeeze in that rumble seat? Here are the individual snaps of our Senior Class Officers—John Walters, Madeline Rock, Joe Koehnke, and Delpha Wetzler. During the next few months we'll be getting loads of other good pictures to fill our scrapbook—the an- nual, class play, parties, prom and banquet, sneak day, commencement and so many other things. They will complete the final chapter of our high school days—suppose we'll have to start a new scrapbook for the next chapter.
