Since teams are picked at random, new friends are made. Because there is never any pressure to win, members can relax and enjoy themselves. GLEE CL UB WMI BRIDGE CLU WGN! The Glee Club participates in a variety of musical activities. Regular practices are held to prepare a growing repertoire of choral selections. Each year members hold a concert to demonstrate the results of their efforts. MA TH LEA GUE The French Club helps spread French cul- ture. With this aim in view, members decorate the French classroom with a French motif and work on a French news- paper. This year members have also illustrated a French cassette for classroom use. The Math League consists of a group of students chosen for their superior mathe- matical ability. Four times a year the League participates in a contest with other high schools in which their knowl- edge of math is tested. At the end of the year trophies are awarded to the highest scoring school as well as the highest indi- vidual scorer. FRENCH CL UB l 1 1975-'76 was the most successful year for the Ronettes! The Varsity finished well in two invitational tournaments, including a, 2nd place in the St. Francis College Tourney, and finished well up in the league standing. BOWLING Members enjoy bowling one after l noon weekly in neighborhood lanes During 1975-'76 the cheerleaders met every Tuesday. Members practiced their cheers and their mounts. The mounts were probably the most exciting part of the practices since they require a certain amount of expertise. Members had some close calls as they tried to reach higher and higher with a new mount. The high- light of the season was the cheerleading competition, which the girls worked hard to prepare for. The Program involves jobs at banks, advertising agencies, insurance companies and data processing organizations. Varsity is a league and competes for a spot in the play-offs. Eleven girls make each team after three try-outs in the fall. Varsity consists of juniors and seniors and exceptional sophomores. Some members assist younger students from nearby elementary schools, while others help with the Language Department at Agnes. Library Aides are very dedicated students who give much of their time to the work involved in the library. Much of this time goes towards helping other students find the information they seek. The two senior and one junior chairpersons organize committees to carry out activities such as proms, dances, etc. The chairpersons are elected by the student body each spring. I M GROUP Group is actually composed of several groups. There is a core group that consists of the student and faculty leaders of the smaller groups. The core group members learn how to help students explore themselves. The several other small groups use techniques for value clarification and group interac- tion. Leaders assist P.E. teachers and help organize Sports Night. Leaders must demonstrate initiative and responsibility at all times and are the backbone of the Physical Education program at Agnes. During practices, members learn new songs that they play as an ensemble and often perform at Masses held at Agnes. SOFTBALL This year the Softball team was made up of new talent in addition to the old timers. The team played well and their coaches are very proud of them. Through a season of hard work at practices, they achieved success.
