At the bi-weekly meetings current and past books are reviewed, censorship of books is c0nsidered.- Anything to help library service is discussed. The students give one study period a week to assist in the library. Among their duties are charging and shelving books and helping the students whenever possible. Gale Corcoran, President, Jeanne Gavin, Vice Presi- dent and Jeanne Mc- Loughlin, Secretary- Treasurer enjoy the na- tional book week display. This or- ganization givcs students the re- sponsibilities Which will aid them in becoming good citizens and resourceful men and wom- en. This is accomplished by stu- dents extending a voluntary helping hand in patrolling cor- ridors, keeping order in the cafe- teria, ushering at assemblies, acting as messengers for the office and assisting in various laboratories. The Latin Club, which holds its meetings once a month is encouraged by its moderator to gain a wider knowledge of the subject by participating in the annual nation-wide contest, usually held in March. Members are asked to submit' brief articles to the Latin Magazine, Auxilium. By pre- senting playlets and singing well known songs in Latin, members profit as well as enjoy themselves. 75
