The subject of Christian education is man, wholeand entire, soul united to body in unity of nature, with all his faculties natural and supernatural. For this reason physical culture, as it iscalled, cannot be considered outside the range of the mater- nal supervision of the Church, since it is also a means which may help or harm Christian education. Our sports and gym activities are undertaken with the development of a sound body in mind. As a temple for our immortal soul, the body receives its share of training in the Catholic educational system.
