Perfection ot society comes from the perfection ot the elements that compose it. Spiritual benefits of Sodality are extended to newly received Freshmen. Rosary Society members nourish their spiritual life through monthly reception of the Sacraments. Church organizations in the parish are numer- ousg they are of varied kinds ranging from those for youngsters to those for adults, from those purely spiritual in nature to those actively engaged in services of charity. Why have such groups? What is their value and the reason for their existence? The church societies are meant to benefit the individual members and the parish asawhole. Since the prime duty of life is the salvation of the soul, these organizations are instruments by which we, as members of the Mystical Body ofChrist, perfect ourselves and then extend our work to our brethren. Parish Organizations Catholic War Veterans organization aims to help the ex-serviceman sanctify himself. Christian Mothers exhibit charity by serving the Ring Day breakfast. The prayers, retreats, group reception of the Sacra- ments, participation in church services are all potent helps towards the attainment of this goal. Realizing that man is a social being, these groups provide members and others with forms of recrea- tion while at the same time materially aiding the -parish in its task of maintenance. Dances, bingos, luncheons, are but few such activities. We gratefully acknowledge spiritual and tempo- ral aid showered on us during the years spent in school. In time to come we plan to assume and perform duties as members of church organiza- tions. .pl
