jlgkfor At the end of a long, happy summer vacation 27 frightened but eager freshmen were seen bouncing through the halls of Springville School. Through some degree of luck we acquired Mr, Adams as our sponsor. Our officers for that year were as follows: president - Jacque Wimberley, vice president - Sherry Warren, secretary - Sharon Allen and reporter - Gail Wimberley, We lost five students that year and ended the year with a bang at Lakeland. As our second year began, 22 sophomores were saddened by the death of a dear friend and classmate, David Wofford. We had finally reached the halfway point and felt that we were really stepping along on the road to Wisdom, We kept our cherished lvlr. Adams as sponsor and selfishly decided never to give him up. Our class officers for that year were: president - Jacque Wimberley, vice president - Gail Wimberley, and secretary - Barbara Van Patten. That year we lost two students and the grand fi- nale of the year was a trip to Lakeland in Memphis, Our junior year began with 20 laughing juniors who felt just a little more mature and confused than before, Still hanging onto Mr. Adams as sponsor, we were ready to conquer the world as we began our eleventh year. Our class officers for that year were as follows: president - James Rushing, vice president - Roger Coleman, secretary - Barbara Van Patten, historian - Sharon Allen, and reporter - Jacque Wimberley. We lost two students and gained one new one and ended the year with a grand trip to Lake- land in Memphis, At the end of a long summer vacation 18 seniors with mingled feelings stepped in- to the halls of good ole Springville School for the final phase of our journey through high school. We lost two students and gained one new one. Again E Mr. Adams was sponsor and as our officers we elected James Rushing - president, Sharon Allen - vice president, Jacque Wimberley - secretary, and Mary Ward - treasurer, We began work on our yearbook andlook forward to a good year. We started our journey with 27 freshmen and are ending it with a grand total of 18 seniors, As we go forth to seek our fortunes we have much to take with us, many memories and a storage of knowledge and ideas for which we are grateful. Our futures will be brightened by a little light from the past--our high school days. The Senior Class of 66-67
