Text from Pages 1 - 152 of the 1963 volume:

“AND THIS TOO SHALL PASS AWAY iVMH , . . And this too shall pass away.” Abraham Lincoln once told the story of an Eastern monarch who charged bis wise men to invent for him a sentence which would prove true as well as appropriate in every situation. They returned and pre- sented to him the words, And this too shall pass away. % As the seasons change and the autum leaves drift from their moth- er branches to the earth and into bubbling brooks, we witness the wise men s appropriate sentence in action. These leaves that once veiled the PjjMaW1 i earth in stunning color are now withered and dead; gone forever . . And this too shall pass awav. ? However true this may be, we the staff of the 62-63 L Artiste present to you this book of memories which we hope will prose the above saying to be merely a myth. Let us as students and administration of the Springville High School keep forever alive within us the memory of the good times we have shared together and of the associations which we have had with one another during this scjxJol year. 3 STUDENT GOVERNMENT I would like to express my grati- tude to you for the privilege and the opportunity I have had in represent- ing you.
