Walker. Since this is his last year at Springville High School, we would like to take this opportunity to ex- press to him our gratitude tor his long years of devoted service. As we look at Mr. Walker's life, he reminds us of the great Grecian scholars of long ago. He, like they, has used wisdom in making his de- cisions. He has borne without com- plaint the many responsibilities that a principal must bear. He has had experience in the classroom which has given him added insight into our problems. Mr. Walker will now retire to a well-earned rest and his lot will be as the lot of the great Grecian philosophers, poets, and scholars; he will be immortalized in the minds of those whom he has lead at S.H.S. t E OKATI ON 8 51 Lg 51 51 L5] S Ls] S 5] 5 3 Bryan Burt Studentbody President Susan Friel Studentbody Secretary David Palfreyman Studentbody Vice President 12 COUNCIL Back row: David Palfreyman, Mike Groneman, Linda Wightman, Carol Greenhalgh. They have borne good-naturedly our jokes and puns about them. Even though we do joke about them we realize how much the success of our high school years depends upon their efforts to advise and help us. So even if we never say it again, we would like to say now, Thanks for all that you have done for us, faculty. Another Concert The a cappella choir was very thrilled to be invited to sing at the World's Fair in Seattle. Even though much hard work was spent pre- paring for concerts, their main goal was to be at their best to sing at the fair. Their parties and fun are hard to top because of their leadership and follow-through ability. Working together as this organization does, much can and is accomplished throughout each school year. Their officers have been alert and the athletes of the school have been very active in school activities. They have sponsored several dances, sold popcorn and other goodies at the games, and had several successful parties. Springville High School is proud of her boys who have qualified for this club by their outstand- ing athletic achievement. The Pep Club has worked hard this year to build school spirit. Their clever posters and dis- plays in the halls helped to make the studentbody more enthused before a game. The precision marches the girls did during half-time this year added a great deal to our football and basketball games. The Pep Club and Lettermen's Club have also had some parties together, which have been exceptionally successful and lots of fun. The Pep Club executes another colorful maneuver.
