This edition of the 6l Porcupine was made possible by the combined effort and cooperation of administrators, teachers, advertisers and students. This book has caught the eyes of people here and there and we hope that in oncoming years the activities of this school year at Springtown High School will not be dimmed and will not fade from memory. The annual staff of 61 sincerely hope that some of your memories have been captured among these pages of this yearbook. And if in later years, while you are turning through this book, a smile, a heartache, or dream is recalled, we shall be content, knowing that we have done our job. The guards ability is shown by the fact that only two Alvarado girls were able to do any scoring in the whole game. SPRINGTOWN 26 - BRIDGEPORT 22 The game with Bridgeport was ahard-foughtvictory. We were behind until the final few minutes of the game when the team received a renewed burst of energy and broke into the lead. In the Weatherford and Stephenville tournaments, the team was in the midst of a long slump. The Porkys lost one game by 4 points in an overtime, one by 5 points, and one game by 9 points. We were proud of Marshall Lowe, a Senior who made all tournament in the Springtown Holiday Tournament. The team will lose 4 players off the next year's team, but the remaining players coming back will be good ball players and will have another good year coming up. We made a good record this year which was 10 wins and 2 loses. We take pride in this year's team which was greatly helped by coach Boynton's great patience and excellent training.
