SENIOR TRIP CONTINUED After supper we made our way to the train terminal where we could board a train that would would take us back to Washington, D, C, Before train time we went to the show, After the show we went back to the station, where we soon left and were Washington bound. We arrived in Washington and boarded a bus that took us to Hotel Annapolis, where we finally got a chance to spend a very wonderful restful night. The next moming Mrs, Bodkin had to miss some of the trip while she was away claiming our things back at Baltimore, Our visits in Washington, D, C, included the Archives Building, Lincoln Museum and the White House. After luncheon at Sholl's Cafeteria we proceeded to the Washington Monument where a few seniors ventured to walk up and down instead of riding on the elevator, By the way, Washington Monument contains 1, 796 steps. It was a lot of fun to walk down, but going up took a lot more strength, Next we visited the Museum of Natural History, where we saw some wild animals that were killed by President Teddy Roosevelt, We also visited the Smithsonian Institute where many rare items can be seen, The next stop was at the National Gallery of Art, which houses a large art collection. At 4:30 we left the National Gallery of Art and headed for the Union Station. Even if Hurricane Hazel did cause us a mix-up in our tour we surely did enjoy every minute of it, The hurricane gave us a chance to sleep in a hotel and so another treat was added, Sunday aftemoon we were back home after a wonderful trip, FIRST AND LAST STOP ASHBAUCHERS' TIN SHOP Cleo Pai-mel, Established 1915 Wiltshire Ohio Decatur, Indiana
