The Launch of the Balloons It was o worm, sunny Friday or obour one o'clock. We were given balloons in our homerooms. They said we could go, and we impatiently, hurriedly walked out of the building. It was worm and dry, and the sky wos o clear blue. The smiling students stood around and talked until it wos rime to let the helium-filled balloons go. When the balloons were let go, they fluttered up into the oir oil or once. The brightly colored red ond white balloons danced in the pole blue sky. We just stood ond watched. We were amazed or the sight of the nor soon forgotten balloons. The white balloons looked like daytime stars. After we watched the tiny balloons twinkle our of sight, we wenr bock to our busy classrooms in the red brick building. by Bonnie Morris Eighth Grade 5
