TRADITION.. T. .iw Black and gold dominated the new north and south wings, which completed the rectangle - a sym- bol of strength and security and solidarity. Back across the way the tradi- tion-haunted hall gave way to prog ress and crumbled. No longer was ' 4- Ai lg... Instead a modern steel and brick mon- ster stood, shining and imposing, trying to assume the air of a hall of learning.
