Dedication to Mrs. Thompson The Class of 1966 takes pleasure in dedicating this year- book to Mrs. Teresina B. Thompson, our gracious, dyna- mic principal of the Girl’s Di vision. Under her energetic and dedicated leadership, the young women of the Trade High School and Springfield Technical Institute have at- tained new goals and heights of achievement. Years of varied experiences have contributed to the ef- ficiency with which Mrs. Thompson carries out her vari- ed duties. Well schooled in office and business procedures, and having taught at various secondary and adult levels in guidance counselling and job placement, she is well qualified as administrator in these fields. She has served her community unselfishly through the many professional organizations of which she is a member. Mrs. Thompson is in frequent demand as a resource person and speaker for various local, state and national programs dealing with contemporary educational problems. Her ever-ready smile, her gracious accessibility to faculty and students, and her boundless vitality and tireless energy endear her to all her associates. With her perception and alertness to the vital needs of our changing world, Mrs. Thompson has been instrumen- tal in developing an outstanding curriculm which offers unusual job training to girls especially in the paramedi- cal fields. These courses have received commendation on both a state and national level. Efficient in all she under- takes, loyal to her profession, and devoted to her family, community and church, she has earned the respect and admiration of those with whom she comes in contact. To be associated with her is to share her excitement, pride and joy at having a part in the vocational and tech- nological challenges that characterize the educational op- portunities offered at Trade High School and Technical Institute. Mrs. Thompson came to Trade High School in 1941 as Guidance Counselor with Mrs. Ells, She was appointed Assistant Principal of the Girls’ Division in November, 1957,
