12 As we, the Class of 1965, prepare to leave Springfield Trade High School, we try to find words to express our gratitude to our teachers, administration and parents. But there are no words that can say it as sincerely as we feel it in our hearts. We could never hope to repay what Trade High School has given us: a way of life and skill in a trade which everyone needs in ordereto make his way in this world of competition. We thank our teachers for the training which they have given us. Through their patience and understanding, they have made it possible for us to learn the skills with which we will be able to make a living for ourselves and for, someday, our families. We wiJl be forever in debt to our faculty. Then, too, we must thank our administration— especially Mr. Garvey and Mrs. Thompson—be- cause it is through their efforts that Springfield Trade High School has received the national rec- ognition it enjoys today. We now have a greater enrollment, better facilities, a larger number of President’s Message graduates, a broader expansion of our cooperative program, and a greater variety of courses at a post graduate and technical institute level. Certainly we cannot forget our parents, To them, for the love, patience, and encouragement which they have shown us through the years, we give our deepest appreciation and gratitude. We especially want to thank our advisors, Mrs. Marcuson, Mrs. Triggs and Mr. Mac Rae, for working so hard to give guidance to our class ac- tivities during our years at Springfield Trade High School. As we look back now on the wonderful and happy time we have spent at Trade High School, we realize how much we will miss the school, the faculty, and the many friends we have made. We must now say farewell to Trade, but we know that with the training we have received and with God’s guidance the years ahead will be success- ful. Edward Roberts, Class President
