advisory committees The purpose of the advisory committees is to help the students, who are prospective workers, to be informed of up-to-date requirements in each trade. This is accomplished by the assistance of these committees, in advising depart- ment heads of new trends, procedures and trade requirements. Each com- mittee is composed of representatives of local business, trades, and industries. The State Department of Vocational Education requires that a committee be appointed for each trade.
