Each year the Detwiler Award is presented to an outstanding member of the Senior Class by Fred B. Detwiler of Columbiana. This award is made to create an incentive for self-training in scholarship. character, and school citizenship. The student receives fifty dollars in cash and a suitable trophy medal. The student's name is engraved on a placque, hung in a prominent position in the high school building. The recipient is selected by the faculty and the student body for achievement in the fore- named things. The winner's name is placed in a sealed envelope and revealed at the gradua- tion exercises. Because of these regulations we are unable to give the name of the 1952 winner. The recipient of 1946 was Delores Novak: 1947, Wilda Morey: 1948.
