ben 107' Class H zstory Lookmg back mto the past to 1946 we w11l fmd forty four students enrolled as Freshmen Mrs Wmnter and Mr Baun started the year as our class sponsors but durlng the year Mrs Wlntel moved away and Mr Belght took her place Durxng the year we lost Charles Klnnear and Harold Townsend who moved away But we also games three new members who were Ada Dmslo joann Chew and Donald Goss In our flrst year of hlgh school we elected the following offlcers presldent Ralph Balley v1ce pres1dent Bob Warner secretary Phyllls Mercer and treasurer W1nn1e Balsler We were re presented on the Student Counc1l by W1nn1e Balsler and on the Sentmel Staff by W1nn1e Balsler Charles Sm1th Phyllls Mercer Rosetta Foster and Loulse Balogh Durlng the summer we lost Fred Knox Ada Dmslo and Sue Strong Theresa Bend1k and oann Chew wxthdrew from school We also galned some new students They are Harold Rupert Ruth Johnson Gerald Lago and Kermlt Prater That left us w1th forty one students In our Sophomore year we were placed 1n room two wlth Mlss Kelley as our home room teacher We elected the followlng class offlcers pres1dent Charles Smith vice pres1dent W1nn1e Balsler secretary Bob Warner and treasurer Lourxne Henry For our representatlon on the Student Counc1l we reelected W1nn1e Ba1sler and newly elected D1ck Gates We were represented on the Sentmel Staff by Phyllls Mercer Dorothy Klaus Ralph Ba1ley Martha S1tler and Lourlne Henry In 1948 there were forty puplls who enrolled at S T H S for our Junmr year Although we lost many of our classmates durlng the summer we gamed three new students They are Frances Franko R1chard Hostetter and Fred Knox As junlors room seven was our home room wmth Mrs Honey 'ls our class sponsor As a means of makmg money we put on the play Beauty and the Beef whxch was d1rected by Mrs Honey In our eleventh year we elected the followmg as our class offlcers presldent Bob Mxkesell vlce presxdent Sh1rleyW1thers secretary jane Brownlee and treasurer Norma Mmcher To represent us on the Student Counc1l we re elected D1ck Gates w1th Charles Sm1th and Bob Mlkesell as new comers to the organ1zat1on Our class was also very well represented on the Sentmel Staff After a long year of str1v1ng and worklng to make money we gave the Senlors thelr banquet and prom at the Plck Ohlo Hotel 1n Youngstown In 1949 there were forty students enrolled at our Alma Mater as Senlors For our fmal year of h1gh school we elected the followmg class offlcers presldent Fred Knox vice presldent Charles Sm1th secretary Caryl Hammer and treasurer Harold Rupert This year we found out that we had to ralse money agam To solve th1s problem we presented the play The Perfect ldlot wh1ch was dlrected by Mrs Kerr We were represented on the Sentmel Staff 1n sports and m muslc We were also represented on the Student Counc1l by D1ck Gates Bob Mlkesell Kenneth McMurray and jane Brownlee Before we knew It graduatlon txme rolled around and forty adults were go1ng out mto the world 16 'V 5 . , - . . , 9 .
