wulnngr '-llll Q MGE CLASS HISTORY Fifty smiling children came venturing into the school in the fall of 1941 Today, twelve years later nineteen of these same students will be leaving These nineteen are Ruby Fox, Dorothy Nussbaum Sally Leppo Harold Walker Dale Perry, Marvin Orewiler, Marjorie Hopper, Earl Souder, Jack Baumberger, Larry Garber, Dorothy Gilliom, Quentin Matthes, Frank Gilbert Roger Mowry, Vaughn Taylor, JoAnna Sapp, and Norma Jacobs As we advanced to the second grade,we were join ed by David Craig and Jim Scarbrough As third graders, our number was increased bythe addition of Clay Xentzer Our group became still larger in the fourthgrade by the admittance of Paul Gordon In the fifth grade new arrivals included Norma Smith, Carollee Rldenour, LeRoy Pitman and Jim Betts Marjorie Farst and Eva Kreps were enrolled incur class as sixth graders We advanced to the third floor with the addition of Gloria Zorub As eighth graders, Mary Alice Murphy waewelcomed into our midst In our first year of high school we furnished a reserve cheerleader namely Norma Smith We also supplied twelve players for the reserve team In the Sophomore year we gained the presence of Barbara Stahl Wilfred Focht Sall Sh1ll1to,Jack Ruby Bob Gordon, Delida Tate and hula ate Norma Smithwas promoted to varsity and again we supplied players for the reserve team and one boy advanced to the varsity squad As Jun1ors,Wesley Beck and Patsy Quinn were wel comed into our midst During the course of the yearwe accomplished much We presented two plays, 'Flve for Bad Luck' and 'Ada Gives First Aid ' Dale Perry and Paul Gordor had the honor of going to the State Track Meet One of our money making projects was the sale of magazines in which we surpassed all other classes As Seniors we are proud and happy to have Norma Smith, varsity cheerleader and seven varsity players representing us We again presented two plays They were entitled 'It's Cold in Them Thar Hills' and 'The House Next Door ' SENIOR PLAY One of the highlights of our Senior year was the presentation of two one act plays They were given on October 24 under the direction of Mr Somerville The cast for 'The House Next Door',e mystery,1n eluded Barbara Stahl, Dorothy Nussbaum, Gloria Zorub, Sally Shillito, Norma Smith, Dave Craig, Marvin Ore- wller, and Quentin Matthes. 'It's Cold in Them Thar Hills' was participated in by Bob Gordon, Eva Kreps, Marjorie Hopper, Gertude Tate, Sally Leppo, Mary Alice Murphy Norma Jacobs, Jack Baumberger, James Betts, Ruby fox, Marge Farst and Frank Gilbert.
