This ensemble of nine voices was composed of two senlors, one junlor,four sophomores and two freshmen They were Patsy Qulnn,Patty Hal1,Cather1ne Bergstrom, first sopranoe Sue Malaby, Ruth Ann Cotter, Naomi Downs, second sopranos Marjorie Hopper,JOAnn D1Sanze, and Audrey Buchanan, altos This group has sung for various activities David Buchanan has been their accompanist Strickler, Henry, Stahl, Taylor, Barnhlll GIRLS' ENSEMBLE Q62 Five seniors and one junior make up this ensem- ble. They are: Darlene Walker, Janice Striokler, first eopranoeg Carol Henry, Barbara Stahl, second sopranosg Ann Taylor, Dorothy Barnhill, altos. The ensemble has sung for various outside acti- vities in addition to the Christmas and spring pro- grams. Their accompanist has been Audrey Buchanan. BOYS' GLEE CLUB The Boys' Glee Club boasted an enrollment of 57 members, an increase from last year The glee club from last year participated in the district contest for the first time at Newark and received a rating of III This year's organization entered the district contest again at Ashland They have participated ln the Richland County Music Festival as well as in the Christmas and spring programs Virgil Rader,Don Danals,Clay Mentzer,Dave Craig, Bob Gordon,Marv1n Orew1ler,Nathan Price and Bernard Palmer were selected to participate in the high schod chorus festival at Ohio Wesleyan University Officers in the glee club were Earl Souder pre sident Don Danals,vlce president Nathan Pr1ce,secre- tary treasurer, Robert Kordish and Norman Heinberger, librarians David Buchanan and Sue Malaby were accompanlsts Back Row Rader, Gordon, Craig, Evans Front Row Btrickler, Mentzer, Gilllom, Orewller BOYS' ENSEMBLE Twenty two boys from boys' glee club signed up for ensemble this year, with a final result of nine voices selected after the tryouts lln the past 12 years, a quartet had been chosen, but the number was increased to nine boys this year to provide opportun ity for more boys to do ensemble work 7 They are follows Clay Mentzer, John Gilliom, David Btrlckler, lst tenors Virgil Bader, Don Danals, 2nd tenors,Mar vin Orewller, Bob Gordon,bar1tones Ronald Evans,Dav1d Craig, basses The ensemble has sung for various programs.David Buchanan was the accompanist for the group. -51-
