June 6, 1968, was truly a time of mixed emotions. The graduating senior feels a sense of excitement about the future, and expresses remorse after his last year in high school. Thi yearis 606 students graduated from Springfield South are typ- ical of other high schools in that they felt both a sense of elation and sorrow. Nick Lubbers, Francis Handling, Connie Bennett, Delores Handling, and Dennis Wrig appear relaxed belore their commencement exercises. Henrietta Edwards gratefully accepts her diploma from Mrs. Levine, vice-president of the Springfield Board of Education.
