Administrators Work Hard To Keep School Going Franklin V. Lehn has been principal of South for four years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Union College and his Master of Arts degree at Ohio State University. Mr. Lehn has served as Superintendent of Schools of Champaign County and as principal of two schools before coming to Springfield South. John B. Wright has been assistant principal for five years. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Wittenberg University. Mr. Wright taught at Hayward Junior High School before coming to South. 20 MR. F. v. LEHN, Principal. Mr. Lehn communicates by a two-way radio used to co-ordinate activities in the building and on campus.

Gunnett, superin- dministrators Head City Schools The school hoard has many responsibilities to the school system. One of these is establishing the broad policies under which the system operates. The hoard makes many decisions during the school year. A new member of the hoard this year is Douglas Gardner, who has taken the place of Dr. Max Graves, who did not seek re-election. Mr. Paul Gunnett has served as super- intendent of the city schools for 11 years. 22
