John Bultmau, with straining muscles and determination, proves that gymnastics isn't for weaklings. Combined G mnasties Squads Compile Winning Season The 1967-1968 Gymnastic team, under the direction of Mrs. Fields, finished llth out of 27 teams competing in the state meet. In the Taft Invitational, South placed 8th, The girls, gymnastics team suffered no defeats during the season. Outstanding performances as well as good sportsmanship came from Cary Johnson on parallel bars, Bob Davidson on still rings, Katie Morean on balance beam, and Beverly Wehrs in free exercise and tumbling. GYMKANA TEAM-FRONT ROW: Katie Morean, Krista Jones, Jean Castillo, Debbie Lyon, Jenny Farthing, .lackie Saunders, Charlene Sexton, Neysa Stephens, and Vicki Reynolds. SECOND ROW: Barb McLean, Bobbie Saunders, Arlene Parsons, Bev- erly Wehrs, Assistant Coach Richard Dellapina, Head Coach Ann Fields, Jeanne Thompson, Sheryl Porter, Jean Hyden, and Jeanne Thompson shows that form, as well as difficulty, counts toward a winning routine.
