Wildcats Post 9 9 Basketball Record Springfield South's Wildcat basketball team ended the 1967-1968 regular season with nine wins and nine losses. The Wildcats retained the City Championship by beating Catholic Central and Springfield North. In the district tournament, the Wildcats beat Trotwood-Madison, then were beaten by Tipp City. Nick Lubbers and Mike Besecker gained all-city honors for the 1967-1968 season. Mike Besecker, South's top scorer, at- tempts a free throw against Catholic Central. South won the game to take the city championship. I59
