Mr. Bronston presents Robert Griffith his letter for golf as Mr. Blackwood watches at the spring athletic aseinbly. Throughout the school year various types of assemblies are presented to the student body. Many of these assemblies provide useful knowledge, while others give the audience a chance to acknowledge outstand- ing students. A few of the special assemblies presented were assemblies about optical illusions, Armed Forces, and National Thespians. Other assemblies were those concerning the choice of cheerleaders for the following two years, and the choice of five home- coming queens. A short preview of each play to be given is usually shown the week of the play. Pep rallies and recognition of athletes are also an important part of the year's assemblies.
