MEN ' S T E N S ADD IN TENNIS ... In a season shortened by more rain than usual, the 1984 Men ' s Tennis Team showered North with victories, an even dozen on the positive side with three mere negatives. League play was closely contested this year, but North emerged unscathed and each handed the Centervllle Elks their first league loss in seven years on the way to the W.O.L. crown. League honors were gained by Craig Capelli and Sam Walsh, the team Captain and MVP, who finished second in the Sectorial Tournament and proceeded to Districts in Cincinnati. But the heart of the team was the other players such as freshman Tim Chu, who had the pressure of four separate matches on his shoulders and carried every one to victory. It was a young man, not a senior on the squad, and it will be back in force in ' 85. Sam Walsh Rodney Young

Dave Prendergast Inconsistent. Because of rain, a full dozen of the team ' s regularly scheduled games were cancelled. Despite the deluge, Varsity Coach Mark Stall and Reserve Coach Kevin Hall squeezed out a respective 9-7 and 3-5 seasons. Captains for the Varsity were William (B.C.) Carter and Dave Prendergast with Dave also earning MVP honors. The highlight of the ' 84 hardball season was the 3 to 1 destruction of the South Wildcats. No doubt, for a first year program, North had a good year and promises a bright future.
