Aim for State was Coach Jim Rolfes's philosophy for this year's track program. Improvement, peaking at late season was what the team strived for. Times and dis- tances steadily improved with top performances in the 880, 440, and 2 mi. relays, the 880 yd. dash, and the mile and 2 mile runs coming at Sectional time. This year's Most Valuable Award was earned by Sean Diltz. Sean's best time for the mile was 4:26. Other record efforts were by Greg Brock with a 9:40.6 in the 2 mile and by Gene Barnett in the halflmile with a 1:59.1. The Decathalon was won by A. J. Parker with 767 points followed by Gary Thomas and Shaun Shafer with 644 and 624 points respectively. UPPER ARLINGTON RELAYS - 4th Wayne - 64 North - 63 A 1 I 178 l
