Harriers Cross The Country Thirteen wins and one loss were evidence of North ' s Cross Country team ' s record- breaking season. Shattering North High ' s best times, Sean Diltz ran the two-mile hill course in 10:06.5 minutes. Going on to the Ohio State Meet, Sean placed 44th in a field of 124. Team captain, Senior Mike Mills, led the team to a first place in the Clark County Meet and a fourth place in the W.O.L. Meet. For accumulating a three-year distance of 731 miles, Mike became an hon- orary member of the 700- Mile Club. The team and graduate harriers ran over 500 miles in a twenty-four hour marathon to demon- strate team spirit. The Gold Brick Award went to Senior Joe Baldwin for achieving his best time with a phenom- enal handicap— two left shoes!!! Cross Country Team FIRST ROW: Sean Diltz, Mike Mills, Mark Rowe, Bob Garrett, Greg Brock, Lowell Wolfe, and Joe Baldwin. SECOND ROW: Paul Moore, Chris Davey, Ben Baldwin, John Hart, Eugene Weaver, Mark Ryman, Steve Schuler, and Coach Jim Rolfes. THIRD ROW: Managers Doug Walters, Jim Roush, and Don Coberly.
