Three Cheers For Merry Old England! English Club had an active, interesting year. An historical Hatloween party masquer- aded as the first official meeting. The programs of the following meetings ranged from poetry reading by Christy Yaw, to a movie, Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge, to a folk song sing- along. Two student teachers, Miss Riggle, and Mr. Byerly, presented a program about England. At another meeting, Steve Wilkins, Jeff Davis, and Bill McLemoreJ;old about their European tour, and the year ended with an election 67 party for next year ' s officers. Future Business Leaders draws its membership from those students enrolled in business courses. Because the club is affiliated with the state and national associa- tions, members may partici- pate in state-wide business tests. This year the Future Business Leaders traveled to Fairmont East where they competed with other schools in several categories of busi- ness. Bill Michael ' s third place in the accounting test enabled him to participate on the national level, which makes this year one of the most successful ever.
