Sophomore Class Council FIRST ROW: Sam Petroff, Nanci Taggart, and Barb Buchanan. SECOND ROW: Dee Johnson, Jackie Goings, Chrisanne Dunlap, and Priscilla Levine. THIRD ROW: Kay Falkner, Miriam Wolf, and Patricia Massie. The Sophomore Class Council members were busy with various projects this year. Early in the year they conducted a magazine sale to earn money for their treasury. They built and oper- ated the marriage booth at the Sadie Hawkin ' s Dance. The Sophomore Class Coun- cil also collected money for the Valerie Markoch fund. At the Junior-Senior Prom, many Sophomore Council members served as prom workers. Ah, would you repeat that, please?

Executive Board maintains the Veterans ' Memorial. The Executive Board had a controversial agenda this year with items such as a student lounge, exam exemp- tion, and the underground newspapers. At Christmas the Executive Board sponsored a canned goods drive to help the Dominican Sisters aid the needy Springfield families. They also spon- sored a contest to choose a theme for the Sadie Hawkin ' s Dance. At the end of the school year, the Executive Board planted flowers around North ' s veterans ' memorial. Board members sponsor a successful Christmas canned goods drive.
