The club was re-organized in 1942 for the boys' benefit in making money for paying for insurance fees and initiation parties. During the year the annual Athletic Banquet was given to the boys by the GAA. Each Senior member was awarded a Varsity key, showing that he had won a Var- sity letter and that he belonged to the Varsity New members elected to the Varsity this year Were: Bill Gall, Bill Newnham, Russell Siegel, Harold Pratt, Buddy Bruno, Dick Wertz, lerry Younger Torn Haupricht, Harry Simpson, George Fought, Vertal Scott, Larry Kaltenbach, and Kenneth Widney. Seniors receiving gold keys and iootballs were: Tom Haupricht, Ierry Griesinger, Charles Griner, Vertal Scott, Ed Houk, Dave Martin, and Bob Bicktord. Varsity is now endeavoring to make a new con- stitution which will keep the club operating the same each year. OFFICERS President ............. First step: Iackie Taube. The Varsity Cheerleaders urged them on. This year ct new method was used for electing cheerleaders. It was decided that six would be chosen every year. Shirley Gibson was re-elected from last year's varsity qirls. Three of these qirls will not be back next year. They are Nancie Donnelly, Shirley Gibson, and Marilynn Gunn who will graduate this year The cheerleaders held a bake sale, iuke box dance, and a talent show to earn money for new uni- forms. The girls received letters for their services and the Senior qirls also received trophies. The Iunior High Cheerleaders cheered at Iunior High and Re- serve qarnes. These cheerleaders are sponsored by the Iunior G.A..A. 39
