The Iunior High Cheerleaders were sponsored by the lunior G.A.A. They cheered for the re- serve and junior high basketball games. We are sorry to lose tive cheerleaders this year: Nancy Wyman, Donna Nachtrab, Doris Carroll, and Barbara lones, who will graduate, and Ann lones, who resigned during basketball season. The cheerleaders held a bake sale and iuke box dance to earn rrioney for the new uniforms and varsity sweaters. ' ff I er lv ' i ,H fi' .- ' nl at t, 2 Q1 i Athletic Banquet Senior G.A.A. girls honored the athletes of our school at an invita- tional banquet in the school cafe- teria, Saturday, February ll, 1950. A delicious ham dinner was enjoyed by all who were present. After din- ner Donna Nachtrab, Senior G.A.A. president, welcomed the boys. lim Iohnoft, Varsity H president, then gave a thank you response. Mr. Herslarid awarded letters to the foot- ball boys and Varsity H keys and charms to the Senior Varsity H members. Mr. McGee followed with a few witty but meaningful re- marks. Mrs. Hansen awarded trophies to the Senior cheerleaders and pins to the Senior G.A.A. girls. Mr. Bishop ended the banquet with a challenge to next year's football team. He said that when he told them to bring home the bacon they brought the whole pig. Now he wants them to bring home the pig's squeal and make it four championship seasons. ES -..verb-3.
